How To Set Up The 7 inch 8 inch & 10 inch Touch Screen Monitor
This post is all about how our touch screen monitors work.
Recently. We have had a few questions from customers asking us how to set the touch screen function up on our 7 inch 8 inch and 10 inch monitors so we thought we would put up all the details on this blog to help people.
There are 8 simple steps so you can be completely set up and ready to use the touch screen in under 5 minutes.
First of all, the way the touch screen works is via USB so you will need to connect the USB connector (which is on our all-in-one cable provided) to your computer along with the VGA connector (also on the all-in-one cable).
Once this is done follow the below steps:
Step 1:
Insert CD and select the correct operating system you are using. The screen will look something like this:
Step 2:
Click ‘Next’ to start the installation process. The screen will look something like this:
Step 3:
This step means that the touch screen will over ride your mouse and you will not be able to use your mouse. We recommend to leave this unticked if you are using the monitor for standard use. Then click the ‘Next’ button.
Step 4:
This step gives you 3 options to calibrate the touch screen feature.
- Every System Boot Up
- Next System Boot Up
- None
Choose which one you wish to do and click ‘Next’
Step 5:
In this step if you are going to use the screen as a secondary monitor then you will need to tick this box. If you are going to use the monitor as your primary and only screen then leave the box unticked. Then click the ‘Next’ Button.
Step 6:
This step shows you where the software will be installed. If it is ok click the ‘Next’ Button but if not then click the ‘browse’ button and choose the desired area you want to install the software. Once you are happy, click the ‘Next’ button.
Step 7:
This step shows you what the software will be called on your computer. If it is ok click the ‘Next’ Button but if not then change the name to whatever you wish and then click the ‘Next’ button.
Side Note: Once you ‘Click’ next the software will start installing
Step 8:
Once the software has finished installing. Please do a 4 point screen calibration test to make sure the touch position is linked up correctly on your resolution. The screen will look as follows:

That is it, once this is all done you will be up and running and be able to use the touch screen feature.
